Track Pants for Sec1s-Sec3s

Hi Guides.

From next year on, it will be compulsory for ALL of you to own at least one pair of black/dark blue track pants. This is because many courses and camp by the HQ would require you to wear track pants in order to participate in the activities. Hence, all guides are to purchase a pair of track pants before the first activity next year. We will be checking. For those that already have a pair at home, you guys no need to buy another one. But, the track pants must have a base colour of either black or dark blue. For those that need to buy, Giant is selling a pair for less than $10 so you can drop by there to purchase one. Any questions you can contact me (Lynn QM, whatsapp only) or Kaiying QM.

Reflections for 2/11/12 Activity :)

We were told to come back on 2nd Nov for our last guides activity of the year, before a new batch of sec 1 guiders would have come in and we would all have been promoted to sec 2s, 3s and 4s. Guides activity started with the usual routine of greeting followed by uniform check. Our program for the day was different because we were told that we were going to have combined activity with the scouts today, hence the special groupings. However, some re-arranging had to be made because of the difference of the number of guides in different groups.
After being split in our groups, with the scouts, we played some ice-breaker games. As I had missed the combined activity last year, I was curious as to how today was going to be like. It was very awkward at first and I think it was because we have gotten used to having only girls during guides activity. However the tension in the atmosphere lessened with the senior's help by initiating various ice-breaker games. Soon, groups started to merge and screams and cheers could be heard.
After that, we did gadget making. We were told to make 2 gadgets, a shoe rack and another gadget of our choice. We started making our gadgets fairly quickly, but hesitated at some points as we had forgotten some of the knots and lashing.
Activity ended after prizes were given out to the groups.

All in all activity was different but fun and I enjoyed myself immensely. ^_^
